A WISE OLD TREE
When I pass this worn out old tree
It is as looking a a face
That I learnt to like.
A grand old man
All bones and no meat
Your mouth wide open
And no teeth.
And the sound
Does not come.
Hollow eyes from staring
Over the hills
Over the mountain top now
A ray of sunshine is
Warming us up
There are nettles growing
Through my feet.
I am aching and screeching in the wind
I try to copy the waves of the sea
With the sound of my leaves.
My memory is long
My reach is high
I tell you what I cry.
HAPPINESS is not having ...
It is BEING.
It is all in yourself.
